Hi Guys! I’m Megan Zietz, creator of TfDiaries.com and I’m taking over the Dunkin’ blog today with some of my favorite spring cleaning hacks. Don’t be a stranger and pop over to TfDiaries.com for all things fashion, food and home! Xo, Megan. This post is sponsored by Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee At Home. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Oh hey Spring, it's great to you see you again!
I know I can't be the only one who feels that with every new season comes a list a mile long of things that need to be done. Whether it's cleaning, moving winter pieces to storage or tackling organization projects - you're bound to keep yourself busy over the next couple months. But with the wise words, "work smarter not harder" lingering over my head I thought it might be time for a change in how I tackle my to-do list. ESPECIALLY the spring cleaning.
I'll admit that I'm constantly making changes to our space because of my Libra nature, so I've found a few tried-and-true hacks that make entering a new season a breeze.
But First, Coffee.
Yes, coffee. I LOVE coffee, especially Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee At Home. So, when they told me about their Cold Brew Coffee Packs I was more than ready to give them a try. Real talk: I’m so impatient when it comes to brewing my own coffee. Well, this basically cuts that entire process short! Brew at your convenience! All you need is a pitcher of water, 2 coffee packs and steep in the fridge overnight. In the morning add a few more cups of water and voila! Fresh cold brew made with 100% Arabica beans for a rich, smooth, full-bodied coffee with barely any effort.
Dunkin’ Donuts® Cold Brew Coffee Packs are in stores nationwide!
Now, brew yourself a cup of joe, turn on some tunes and dive into that list...
Add Some COLOR
Ok, so this can be a little more on the permanent side but the best way to add a pop of color to your space is to give it a little paint. If you pop over to TfDiaries.com you’ll see that I’m not afraid of color when it comes to our walls. Perk up your room with a fun accent wall or even the whole room, you’ll instantly feel brighter...
Get Organized & Get Rid Of
The start of a new season is the best time to go through your closest, cabinets and storage and get rid of items you no longer use or need. If it makes things easier you can separate everything into piles for donating, selling and/or gifting. After you weed out, organize! Get special bins and containers for anything and everything. I love baskets - I use them for everything from ice cube trays and cookie cutters to winter hats, gloves and shoes in the kitchen/entryway.
Clean One Room at a Time
Rome wasn't built in a day so why should your house be tackled all at once? Focus on one room at a time. It won't be as overwhelming and you'll be oh-so-satisfied when you see the final result of a sparkling kitchen, a tidy bathroom and an organized closet.
