Girl Scouts® “Think Big” with Dunkin’ Female Leaders

Girl Scouts® “Think Big” with Dunkin’ Female Leaders

In honor of the Girl Scouts birthday today, and coming off of a successful National Girl Scout Cookie™ Weekend, on Wednesday, February 27, Dunkin’ opened the doors of its corporate headquarters to Girl Scout Cadettes from two local troops. Some of Dunkin’s top female executives and franchise owners, many of whom are Girl Scout alums, were on hand to provide the girls insight into their roles at Dunkin’, as well as share advice from their own experiences in the professional world.

To start the visit, the girls got creative with some donut decorating and heard from the Dunkin’ female leaders on their roles, experience, tips for success, and more.

Dunkin’s executives then helped the Girl Scouts start their “Think Big” Cookie Business badge requirements. The girls had the opportunity to present their original big ideas for increasing their Girl Scout Cookie sales, with Dunkin’s businesswomen (including Gold Award Girl Scout Courtney Anderson!) providing advice on how to possibly take their plans up a notch. The group discussed everything from upselling strategies to effective communication techniques.

The Cadettes also used the opportunity to ask the Dunkin’ leaders thoughtful questions, many centering on challenges they face as women in the workforce.

To end the day on a sweet note, the girls took an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Dunkin’ test kitchen to taste test some of Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins' new sweet treats.

Girl Scouts recently launched a new  #ThinkOutsideTheCookieBox PSA showcasing all of the life and business skills girls learn through the cookie program. Girl Scout Cookies are out of this world, but even more importantly, girls are gaining entrepreneurial skills that help them break barriers and achieve their goals.
