Cinco de Mayo is just a few days away, and I’m sure many of you are planning to celebrate with family and friends this weekend. I knew I wanted to create something quick and fun to bring to the fiesta that I’m attending, so I put my creativity to work in the DD Test Kitchen. I created a recipe that puts a twist on your typical “chips and dip” and features classic Mexican flavors. My Creamy Avocado Yogurt Dip requires just a few simple ingredients, including DDelicious Everything Bagels from Dunkin’ Donuts. This recipe is sure to be a crowd pleaser at home or for guests at the party. Enjoy!



Ingredients: Everything Bagel Chips

• 2 Everything Bagels*

• 2 ¼ TSP Salt

• 1/3 Cup Olive Oil 

*We also recommend Plain, Onion and Garlic Bagels as other great bagel options!


Preheat oven to 335° F. Slice the Everything Bagels into round disks. Add bagel slices, salt, and oil to a ziplock bag. Seal the bag and shake until the bagel slices are evenly coated with oil and salt.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay bagel slices in a single layer, and place the sheet in the oven for 20 minutes, or until bagel chips are golden brown.


Ingredients: Creamy Avocado Yogurt Dip

• 1/2 Cup Plain Fat-Free Greek Yogurt

• 2 Ripe Avocados, Peeled and Seeded

• 1 Clove Garlic, Minced

• 3 TBSP Chopped Fresh Cilantro

• 1 TBSP Finely Chopped Seeded Jalapeño Pepper

• 2 TBSP Fresh Lime Juice

• 1/4 TSP Ground Cumin 

• Salt and Ground Black Pepper (to taste)

• 2 Medium Tomatoes, Diced (small)


Place the yogurt, avocados, garlic, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, and cumin in a blender or food processor. Mix until smooth. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Stir in the diced tomatoes and garnish with a sprig of cilantro. Serve with Everything Bagel Chips and enjoy!
