Chef’s Corner: Donut Ice Cream Sundaes

Chef’s Corner: Donut Ice Cream Sundaes

When I host a dinner party, I love to come up with fun and creative ideas for desserts that my guests will enjoy. For this dessert, I put two of my favorite sweet treats together: donuts and ice cream. I decided to create a donut ice cream sundae bar so my guests could make their own dessert with their favorite types of Dunkin’ Donuts donuts, Baskin-Robbins ice cream and toppings. I also have three wonDDerful sauce recipes featuring Dunkin’ Donuts’ Strawberry Coolatta®, Latte and Hot Chocolate that will make your sundaes extra DDelicious.

Ingredients:

• A dozen Dunkin' Donuts Donuts (Select your favorite variety of donuts)

• 2 Large Dunkin’ Donuts Strawberry Coolatta®

• 1 Small Dunkin’ Donuts Hot Chocolate

• 1 Small Dunkin’ Donuts Hot Latte

• 2 Quarts Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream (Choose your two favorite flavors)

• 3 Cups White Chocolate Chips

• 3 Cups Milk Chocolate Chips

• Toppings:

o Candy (any you like – we used M&M’S®, Mini Marshmallows, Nuts, Mini Gummy Bears and OREO® cookie crumbs)

o Whipped Cream

o Sprinkles

o Cherries

Instructions:

For Strawberry Sauce:

1. Take 2 Large Dunkin’ Donuts Strawberry Coolatta® and cook over medium heat until reduced. This should take about one hour and the sauce will be thick and shiny.

2. Let cool and place in a small pitcher or bowl to serve with your donut sundae bar.

For White Chocolate Latte Fudge Sauce:

1. Pour Dunkin’ Donuts Hot Latte over the white chocolate chips.

2. Stir until melted.

3. If needed, microwave for 30 seconds at a time stirring in between until mixture is smooth.

4. Serve warm with donut sundae bar.

For Hot Chocolate Hot Fudge:

1. Pour Dunkin’ Donuts Hot Chocolate over milk chocolate chips.

2. Stir until melted.

3. If needed, microwave for 30 seconds at a time stirring in between until mixture is smooth.

4. Serve warm on the donut sundae bar.

Assemble your sundaes as you like! Here are some ideas we came up with:
