Try masquerading your favorite Pumpkin, Chocolate, or Old Fashioned donut hole treats as little monsters, bats, pumpkins and mummies with these Halloween recipes:
Monster MUNCHKINS®
Ingredients:
- 25 MUNCHKINS® donut hole treats
- 2 bags (12 ounces) of purple candy melts
- Purple sprinkles
- 20-25 large edible eyes (you will need one eye per monster)
Instructions:
- Melt the purple candy melts according to package directions.
- Place a MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat on a fork and then dip it into the melted chocolate. Use a spoon to spread the melted chocolate evenly over it.
- Tap the fork against the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
- Slide the MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat onto parchment paper and immediately press an edible eye into the center.
- Sprinkle the purple sprinkles on top of the MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat.
- Allow it to dry and then repeat!
Bat MUNCHKINS®
Ingredients:
- 25 MUNCHKINS® donut hole treats
- 1 package (16 ounces) regular OREO® Cookies
- 2 bags (12 ounces) milk chocolate chips
- 50 edible eyes
Instructions:
- Cut each OREO® Cookie in half.
- Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in intervals of 15 seconds, stirring in between each time, until melted.
- Place a MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat on a fork and then dip it into the melted chocolate. Use a spoon to spread the melted chocolate evenly over it.
- Tap the fork against the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
- Slide the MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat carefully onto parchment paper and immediately press each half of the OREO® Cookie on either side.
- Press and hold two edible eyes onto the MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat.
- Allow it to dry and repeat!
Mummy MUNCHKINS®
Ingredients:
- 25 MUNCHKINS® donut hole treats
- 2 bags (12 ounces) white chocolate chips
- 50 large edible eyes
- Plastic bag
Instructions:
- Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave in intervals of 15 seconds, stirring in between each time, until melted.
- Place a MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat on a fork and then dip it into the melted chocolate. Use a spoon to spread the melted chocolate evenly over it.
- Tap the fork against the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
- Slide the MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat onto parchment paper and allow it to dry.
- Once dry, re-melt the remaining white chocolate and pour it into a small plastic bag.
- Cut off the tip of the bag and pipe stripes around the MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat to resemble a mummy.
- Press 2 edible eyes onto the MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat.
- Allow it to dry.
Pumpkin MUNCHKINS®
Ingredients:
- 25 MUNCHKINS® donut hole treats
- 2 bags (12 ounces) orange candy melts
- 25 green candies
- 20 pretzel sticks
Instructions:
- Break each pretzel into thirds.
- Melt the orange candy melts according to package directions.
- Place a MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat on a fork and then dip it into the melted chocolate. Use a spoon to spread the melted chocolate evenly over it.
- Tap the fork against the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
- Slide the MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat onto parchment paper and immediately press a piece of a pretzel into the top of the MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat.
- Press and hold a green candy at an angle next to the pretzel for about 20 seconds.
- Allow it to dry and repeat!
