The holidays may remind us to give back, but at Dunkin’, making an impact is something we do all year long. Through the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation®, we help bring joy to children battling hunger or illness every single day. Just last week, we teamed up with the Foundation to deliver a little joy – and a lot of MUNCHKINS® – as a surprise for the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).

The big reveal? A heartwarming story time featuring Dunkin’s new children’s book, The Little Holiday MUNCHKIN, narrated by Emmy®-nominated writer, producer and director Mindy Kaling (check out the animated spot here). Each page turned into a magical moment, sparking smiles and laughter throughout the room. Even better, the book, available at participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide, is also making a difference to more children: $2 from every book sold goes directly to the Foundation, helping fund more moments of joy for kids who need it the most.*
And the surprises didn’t stop there. The Foundation closed the celebration with an incredible gift to the hospital – a $30,000 donation to continue bringing joy to children receiving care at CHOC. It was a day filled with storytelling, sweet treats, and seasonal splendor, showcasing what happens when kindness and community come together.

CHOC’s two facility dogs supported by Dogs for Joy® played a starring role, with beloved pups Lois and Waze spreading comfort and connection. The afternoon wrapped with festive photo donuts, endless boxes of MUNCHKINS®, and sips of Dunkin’ hot chocolate – because joy is better when shared.

*$2 from every book sold, up to $550,000, will benefit the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation®
