Dunkin’ Raises Awareness and Funds During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Did you know that one in 285 kids will be diagnosed with cancer by the time they are 20, according to The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation? September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness of pediatric cancer and the need for children’s cancer treatment and care. Since 1997, the color gold has been designated to support for and raise awareness of childhood cancer. In honor of this movement, Dunkin’ is partnering with Waze by going gold and setting a goal of raising up to $100,000 for the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation to send kids with cancer to 10 special camps around the country. So how will Dunkin and Waze raise this money?

Waze users can download a Change Voice pack allowing them to receive navigation guidance from kids impacted by cancer. For every download of this special Change Voice pack by Waze users, Dunkin’ will make a donation to the Joy in Childhood Foundation, up to $100,000. Additionally, for September all Dunkin’ locations will be represented on Waze with gold pins. To use this feature, download the Waze app, then choose settings > general> voice and sound> change Waze voice to “Going Gold Voice Pack from Dunkin’”. Check out the below video to see these children’s stories come to life.
