Back in September, Dunkin’ Donuts and Threadless, a creative community that makes, supports and buys great art, launched the first-ever Dunkin’ Donuts-themed global T-shirt design challenge in honor of National Coffee Day and International Coffee Day. Coffee fans around the world had the opportunity to show their love for our coffee and help design the next Dunkin’ Donuts T-shirt. After evaluating hundreds of submissions, Dunkin’ Donuts is thrilled to announce the selected T-shirt design, “C is for Coffee.”

The T-shirt artwork was created by Phil Jones of Minneapolis, MN and is available for order while supplies last exclusively at Shop.DunkinDonuts.com.
We spoke with Phil to learn more about how he came up with the “C is for Coffee” design:
“I have an affinity for Dunkin’ Donuts and when I started working on the design, my gut said that knowing what the company has done in the past and who the company is, I wanted to focus on simplicity and bring that to a design. Once I fell on the “C is for Coffee” idea, I drew it with the hand holding the cup of coffee in the “C” and I felt like the whole design just came to life. I think the design really represents the brand, and there is also that great nod to Dunkin’ Donuts with the subtle steam coming out of the coffee in Dunkin’ colors.”
For submitting the selected design in this challenge, Phil receives $7,000 cash and a $500 Threadless gift code, as well as free coffee for a year or $100 in Dunkin’ Donuts merchandise.
