The ribbon is cut, the coffee has been brewed and the pink spoons are being dipped. So do you know what that means? It’s the Grand Opening celebration of our newest Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins multi-brand restaurant! This one is pretty special too, because it’s located in Washington, D.C. at the U.S. House of Representatives. This definitely brings a whole new meaning to America Runs on Dunkin’!
Today’s ribbon cutting ceremony featured Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins product samples, photo ops with Cuppy, prizes, giveaways and even an American flag cake made entirely out of Munchkins™ donut hole treats to celebrate this exciting milestone. Dunkin’ Brands CEO, Nigel Travis, as well as Senior Vice President, Scott Murphy, Executive Chef, Jeff Miller and local dignitaries were in attendance to commemorate the special day, and, of course, to cut the ribbon! And we can’t forget about the real stars of the show- the donuts and ice cream! This location has some awesome custom donuts like the Cherry Blossom and Capitals Craze Donuts, as well as a new ice cream “Flavor of the Month” every month!
We love being a part of the Washington D.C. community, and we’re proud to serve the community both inside and outside our restaurants!. As one way to give back, we recently presented a $20,000 grant to Washington D.C.’s Capital Area Food Bank. This donation is part of our three-year, $1,000,000 commitment to Feeding America® member food banks to support child hunger initiatives worldwide. To learn more about what’s happening in the D.C.
