Dunkin’ Franchisees and Crew Members Help Bring Joy to Kids Facing Hunger during Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation’s Month of Joy

April is National Volunteer Month – a time to celebrate the importance of volunteerism in our communities and take action to give back to those in need. All month long, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation is teaming up with our Dunkin’ franchisees, brand employees and crew members to roll up our sleeves and support more than 70 Feeding America member food banks throughout the country.

To honor its long-standing partnership with Feeding America, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation is also commemorating this year’s Month of Joy with a $100,000 donation to support Feeding America member food banks and the role they serve in supporting child hunger relief.

Throughout the month of April, more than 1,400 Dunkin’ volunteers will give back to their communities at local food banks and food pantries across the country to support the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation’s mission to bring joy to kids facing hunger.

“Every day, millions of children face food insecurity that prevents them from leading healthy lives,” said April McGonnigal, Director of Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. “We are thrilled with the outpouring of support from our Dunkin’ employees, franchisees and crew members to lend a helping hand in the fight to end childhood hunger. Together, alongside our community partners, we can continue to create change and strive to get to a place where no child has to worry where their next meal is coming from.”

Thanks to the support and generosity of Dunkin’ franchisees, partners, vendors and guests, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation has granted more than $5 million to Feeding America to support critical initiatives nationwide since its inception in 2006.
