The Story Behind Our New Donut Fries

Two words: Donut. Fries. You’re welcome, America.

That’s right, Donut Fries are coming to Dunkin’. Beginning Monday, July 2nd, you’ll be able to get your hands on this exciting, new food mashup at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide. Our new Donut Fries feature individual pieces of delicious, buttery croissant style donut dough that are tossed in cinnamon sugar and served warm.

It all started in the Dunkin’ Test Kitchen. “We were brainstorming in one of our Culinary Innovation sessions,” says Rick Golden, the Manager of Donut Excellence who created Donut Fries. “We tested different kinds of dough, adding cinnamon and sugar for the right amount of crisp. The end result is delicious. They are sharable. They are fun. And they bring together two of America’s favorites. What’s not to love?”

We tried to *quietly* test the new Donut Fries in our hometown of Boston earlier this year. America noticed, and thousands took to social media to share their excitement and ask us to bring Donut Fries to their local Dunkin’.

We listened, America. Just in time for the 4th of July, you can enjoy Donut Fries at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants across the country. Even better, you get 5 Donut Fries in each order for $2.
