With National Coffee Day right around the corner, here at Dunkin’ we are getting ready to celebrate with a special recipe created for all you coffee lovers by Dunkin’s very own Chef Molly.

To make this day even sweeter, Dunkin' is offering a buy one-get, one deal- On National Coffee Day, Friday September 29th, any guest who purchases a medium or larger size cup of the Dunkin’ Donuts hot coffee will receive an additional medium sized hot coffee for free at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide.

In this recipe, Chef Molly has brought together coffee and chocolate….introducing Espresso Brownies with a Coffee Infused Butter Creme Frosting! Check out the recipe below:

Espresso Brownies with Coffee Infused Butter Creme Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of brownie mix.

  • 1 shot of espresso.

  • 2 sticks of butter.

  • 1 cup of ground Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.

  • 1 cup of powdered sugar.

Instructions:

Espresso Brownies:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350º.

  2. Prepare brownie mix according to package instructions, swapping water for espresso.

  3. Pour mixture into a 9x9 pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean. Remove from the oven and cool.

Coffee Infused Butter Creme Frosting:

  1. In a pan over low heat combine butter and ground coffee and steep for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. Strain ground coffee out of the butter and refrigerate butter until firm.

  3. In a stand mixer place the butter and beat using the paddle attachment until soft.

  4. Add powdered sugar to mixer and beat to combine.

  5. Spread butter crème on brownies and serve.
