ADQSR Recognizes American Veterans By Joining The Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative

Randolph, Mass. (April 11, 2003) -- Allied Domecq Quick Service Restaurants (ADQSR), which franchises over 10,000 Dunkin' Donuts, Baskin-Robbins and Togo's stores worldwide, today announced its enrollment in the Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (VetFran). The program, offered through the International Franchise Association (IFA), enables American Veterans to enter franchising at a lower cost with the franchising company absorbing the price difference. With plans to significantly expand its worldwide presence over the next five years, ADQSR offers American Veterans an opportunity to franchise at a reduced rate with a recognized leader in the quick service restaurant industry.

"ADQSR is proud to be able to award those who have made significant sacrifices for their country with the opportunity to own and operate their own small business at a reduced initial investment," said Tony Padulo, ADQSR's Vice President of New Business Development and Franchise Services. "Our company is known for a level of support that stands out in the QSR industry and we are committed to providing practical solutions, like the VetFran program, to attract qualified franchisees."

ADQSR's enrollment into VetFran coincides with the company's participation at the 12th Annual International Franchise Expo in Washington, D.C. from April 11 to 13. The company will host a 600-square-foot booth on the exhibition floor, which will serve as an operational Dunkin' Donuts store and provide conference attendees with Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee and Munchkin? donut hole treats. At the booth, American Veterans can obtain information on the company's involvement with VetFran and speak with ADQSR's knowledgeable franchise marketing personnel. Comprehensive franchising materials will also be available for other interested conference attendees seeking franchise opportunities.
