Dunkin' Donuts Franchisees To Open Nine New Shops At Former Quikava Locations

CANTON, Mass. (December 8, 2004) - A group of eight Dunkin' Donuts franchisees have been selected to take over nine area Quikava shop locations after a competitive bidding process, the company announced today. The move comes in the wake of the decision by Quikava and a group of its franchisees to sell all of the New England units. Quikava and its franchisees will continue to operate 15 existing locations in the New York metropolitan area.

The Dunkin' Donuts franchisees already have started to remodel the former Quikava locations located in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island and will be re-opening them as Dunkin' Donuts shops in the coming weeks. Each location features a freestanding building served by one or two drive-thru lanes - a format ideal for the sizeable percentage of Dunkin' Donuts customers who look to the brand for quality coffee and baked goods delivered quickly.

"Our customers use our products as daily rituals that revive them and keep them going," said Steve Gabellieri, Vice President of Franchise Services. "Located along the daily driving routes of thousands of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island residents, these nine new Dunkin' Donuts locations will make it easier for our loyal customers to get their orders and get where they're going."

The nine new Dunkin' Donuts will be located at:

  • 795 Washington Street, Hanover, MA
  • 30 Winter Street, Weymouth, MA
  • 10 Washington Street, Norwell, MA
  • 917 Lynnfield Street, Lynn, MA
  • 1588 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, RI
  • 1111 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI
  • 84 Route 101A, Amherst, NH
  • 543 Amherst Street, Nashua, NH
  • 2301 Brown Avenue, Manchester, NH

"Each of the franchisees purchasing Quikava locations has a long track record of success serving his or her community," remarked Dunkin' Donuts franchisee Guido Petrosinelli. "We're proud to extend that record by opening additional locations that are so convenient for our customers. We can't wait to pour the first cup of coffee at each new shop."
