Dancing Pumpkin Man rises again! With our donuts all dressed up for Halloween, our friend and Internet legend Dancing Pumpkin Man is back to help us unveil our tricked out treats, scaring up a spirited new video to welcome his favorite season and our spooktacular new Halloween donuts.
Back in August, Dancing Pumpkin Man helped us celebrate the return of pumpkin coffee to Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide. Now, check out the frightfully fun way he is helping us introduce our spirited Halloween donuts, as traditional donuts disappear in October:
We caught up with Matt Geiler, the man behind the famous pumpkin mask, to chat about life as Dancing Pumpkin Man. “Dancing Pumpkin Man went viral for the first time in 2009,” Geiler said. “Over the last nine years its gathered steam each Halloween and has evolved into this meme that’s shared throughout Internet culture. It’s kind of a joyous and subversive icon of good-spirited chaos.”
Dancing Pumpkin Man is not only a huge Halloween fan, but he’s also a giant DD fan! “I will hit up a Dunkin’ Donuts with little or no provocation regardless of the time of day. It’s not unusual for me to suggest to my family that we go to Dunkin’ daily.”
Halloween donuts are available in Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide starting on October 2, including the new Spider Donut, a classic donut frosted with orange icing with a sweet eight-legged donut creature on top, made from a glazed chocolate MUNCHKINS® donut hole treat with chocolate drizzle for the spider legs and orange drizzle for the eyes.
Plus, the Dunkin’ Dozen donuts get new Halloween-inspired names and designs, including Boston Scream, a spirited variation of Dunkin’s classic Boston Kreme Donut featuring an orange drizzle; Witch’s Brew-Berry, our Glazed Blueberry Donut bewitched with a drizzle of purple icing; Scary Strawberry, a frightful version of a Strawberry Frosted Donut with chocolate and orange sprinkles, and many more.
