This fall, Dunkin’ doesn’t just make coffee… we’re growing it! In case you missed it, we recently announced the launch of our fall menu at Dunkin’, including the next coffee in our Limited Batch Series, 100% Guatemalan*! Keep reading for the inside scoop on how this single-origin coffee came to life and how guests can donate to the brand’s reforestation efforts in Guatemala with each cup!
Here at Dunkin’, we’re thrilled to be continuing our Limited Batch Series, which kicked off with Explorer Batch earlier this year, with a new unique single-origin option: 100% Guatemalan. 100% Guatemalan is a medium roast that is smooth and rich featuring chocolate notes, making it approachable and easy to sip. 100% Guatemalan is the perfect complement to your go-to Dunkin’ food choice, whether you love Dunkin’s new Avocado Toast, or a Pumpkin Donut, MUNCHKINS® Donut Hole Treats, or Muffin.
As a part of Dunkin’s commitment to coffee sustainability, the brand is dedicated to protecting the coffee we source and the coffee farmers we depend on. That’s why Dunkin’ is committed to continuing this vital effort to rebuilding forests in Guatemala, a world-renowned coffee-growing region. From September 15, through October 12, Dunkin’ is giving 10 cents of every cup of 100% Guatemalan Coffee sold to One Tree Planted, to support reforestation efforts in Guatemala. Dunkin’ will donate up to $250,000, which is 250,000 trees to be planted. Guests can also visit here to learn more about our project in Guatemala and donate to the cause online. Because every sip you savor, should make things a little more sustainable.
Earlier this year, Dunkin’ partnered with One Tree Planted to plant a total of 200,000 trees throughout Honduras and Guatemala by the end of 2021. These reforestation efforts include areas that are essential to regional environmental stability, increased rural farmer productivity, and the livelihoods of thousands of people. To date, there have been 115,000 trees planted in Honduras and Guatemala.
Due to the impact climate change is having on crops, coffee farmers in Guatemala need our help. Which is why, beginning September 15 through October 12, 10 cents of every cup of 100% Guatemalan Coffee sold at Dunkin’ restaurants will benefit One Tree Planted, to support reforestation efforts in Guatemala. One Tree Planted will plant approximately 250,000 trees throughout coffee growing communities. In total, Dunkin’ will be donating approximately $450,000 by the end of 2021 to plant 450,000 trees throughout essential coffee growing communities.
This tree-planting program will create significant benefits to these regions, including improving air and water quality, improving soil health, increasing wildlife biodiversity, and providing jobs in local communities.
