The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation today announced the distribution of six grants totaling $30,000 to community organizations helping LGBTQ+ youth.
The funding for the grants comes in part from Dunkin’s Pride gift card promotion which took place in June. For every Pride-themed e-gift card purchased between June 1 and June 30, we donated $1 to our Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation to benefit hunger relief efforts at six LBGTQ+ youth organizations.
INspire, the LGBTQ & Allies Employee Resource Group for Dunkin’ corporate employees, helped the Foundation select the six LGBTQ+ youth organizations in New York, Boston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago and Orlando. The grants will help fund food programs for LGBTQ+ youth facing hunger including the distribution of grocery gift cards, hot meals and snacks.
The organizations receiving the grants are:
- Ali Forney Center (New York City)
- Fenway Health (Boston)
- Larkin Street Youth Services (San Francisco)
- Lost-n-Found Youth (Atlanta)
- Youth 360 Services (Chicago)
- Zebra Coalition (Orlando)
From fighting homelessness and hunger to providing mental health support, education and more, these organizations are vital to the communities they serve, and the Foundation is proud to support their hunger relief work.
