After introducing Cold Brew at Dunkin’ in 2016, it quickly became a fan favorite. But, how much do you really know about your go-to brew? In honor of National Cold Brew Day tomorrow, we’re answering frequently asked questions about the beloved beverage.
If you’re looking to enjoy a Dunkin’ Cold Brew to celebrate the occasion, we’ve got your back with carry-out, drive-thru and curbside pick-up, at select locations. We recommend ordering ahead on the Dunkin’ App for a contactless way to order and pay. Or, in select areas, you can get your Cold Brew delivered with Grubhub.
What is Cold Brew?
At Dunkin’, our Cold Brew is handcrafted in small batches, prepared by steeping a special dark roast blend of ground coffee in cold water for twelve hours. This process extracts a distinctive flavor from the beans, delivering a rich, smooth coffee with an inherently sweeter flavor reminiscent of dark chocolate. Cold Brew is delicious when enjoyed black, or can be customized with flavors, dairy or sweetener, just the way you like it.
What is the difference between Cold Brew and Iced Coffee?
Both Dunkin’ Iced Coffee and Cold Brew use high-quality, 100% Arabica coffee beans and are freshly brewed every day. However, each beverage’s unique brewing process and signature flavor profile is what sets them apart.
Dunkin’ Original Blend Iced Coffee is brewed with double the amount of coffee grounds, cooled and then poured over ice. This process ensures that every cup of Iced Coffee’s freshness and rich flavor is never compromised at the expense of serving it cold. The result is a lively, balanced coffee with hints of nuts and caramel. On the other hand, Dunkin’ Cold Brew is made by steeping a special dark roast blend of ground coffee in cold water for twelve hours to slowly extract all the flavor into this velvety brew.
