Boston Based Grandpa Makes Special Dunkin’ Drone Delivery

Boston Based Grandpa Makes Special Dunkin’ Drone Delivery

Here at Dunkin’, we know our fans love starting their day with their favorite coffee and donuts. But, that morning ritual may look a little different these days as more people are staying home. Meet Kevin Procopio, a.k.a "Papa", as his three grandchildren call him. Living just 1/3 of a mile away from his grandchildren outside of Boston, Procopio was looking for a creative way to drop off some sweet treats while also maintaining social distancing.

Known by his family for airdropping packages via drone, Procopio decided to make an extra special delivery by attaching Dunkin’ MUNCHKINS® donut holes to his drone and flying them to his grandkids, making their day a little brighter.

As of March 17, service at Dunkin’ U.S. restaurants is temporarily limited to drive-thru ordering, carry-out and delivery, with a select number of locations also offering curbside service. To bring delicious Dunkin’ food and drinks directly to doorsteps as conveniently and cost-effectively as possible – no drone required - Dunkin’ is currently offering free Grubhub delivery at select locations through April 19.
