Here at Dunkin’ we are humbled by the selfless acts and daily sacrifices of health care workers, first responders and all the essential workers, who are on the frontlines of the coronavirus (COVID-19) response.
Dunkin’ franchisee and Marine Corps veteran, Tali Burton, wanted to do his part to help the individuals on the frontlines of this pandemic in his community. Any medical worker or first responder who visits one of Burton’s eleven Dunkin’ restaurants in southern or central San Diego will be treated to a free small, medium or large hot or iced coffee with valid ID.
“We have a product that peps you up and that’s exactly what these hard-working people need when they’re in the fifth inning of a nine-inning game,” said Burton. “My hope is that this will brighten the day of at least one frontline responder and let them know we’ve got their back.”
Burton has also partnered with the California Highway Patrol, who are picking up Dunkin’ coffee and donuts and delivering to local hospitals around central and southern San Diego.
As of March 17, service at Dunkin’ U.S. restaurants is temporarily limited to drive-thru ordering, carry-out and delivery, with a select number of locations also offering curbside service. Stay informed on our response to COVID-19 here and follow the stories of how our Dunkin’ community is coming together to keep America running here.
We’ve donated more than 39,000 gift cards to those on the frontlines of the coronavirus response at more than 170 organizations, and counting. Let’s keep going. Want to thank a local hero for all that they do? Send them a Dunkin’ Gift Card at DunkinCoffeeBreak.com. For every card sent, Dunkin’ will donate $1, up to $100,000, to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation emergency funds specifically for non-profits helping families affected by COVID-19.
