Iced coffee fans, rejoice! Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day (May 23) is almost here. And what better way to mark the occasion than to share how some of the funds raised on last year’s big day have helped bring the simple joys of childhood to kids in need.
With support from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation®, kids battling cancer at Boston Children’s Hospital receive integrative therapies like yoga, meditation and Reiki from specially trained nurses alongside their medical treatment to help ease the stress of long hospital stays.
These integrative therapies have become essential parts of the healing process, helping these brave kids through treatment, particularly the seclusion required to protect their immune systems. Through these additional therapies, kids and their families can find comfort, lower anxiety, promote self-care and find joy even in the toughest of times.
With long hospital stays that can last many months, kids can look forward to one to four sessions a week of yoga, meditation, Reiki, or massage, and parents and caregivers can join them during the yoga and Reiki.
Boston Children's Integrative Therapies experts share their expertise with pediatric hospitals around the world so children everywhere can benefit from these healing experiences.
Donate joy with every cup on May 23, as $1 from every iced coffee* sold at participating Dunkin’ locations will be donated to the Joy in Childhood Foundation. Stop by your local Dunkin’ to make your coffee run count and help bring joy to kids in need in your community.
