Here at Dunkin’ we believe that positivity is in high demand. Over the last few weeks, we have seen a surge of kindness and people taking extra steps to help bring a smile or spread optimism during this difficult time. With that in mind, sisters and Dunkin’ franchise owners, Monica MacFarlane and Nicole Alger, began encouraging their restaurant employees to write uplifting, positive messages on customers’ coffee cups.
Employees came up with fun and inspiring quotes, such as “Just keep swimming,” “After the storm, there is always a rainbow,” and “Remember to smile.” These handwritten messages were shared on hot and iced coffee cups to encourage customers and members of their community in Pembroke, Mass. to stay positive. Guests took to social media to thank their local Dunkin’ employees for not only keeping them running but bringing a little happiness to their day.
“Spreading positivity is a part of our culture, and we couldn’t do this without our amazing crew members,” said Alger. “The reaction from our community was almost instantaneous. It’s incredible to see how even during this difficult time, a simple act of kindness can really resonate with guests.”
As of March 17, service at Dunkin’ U.S. restaurants is temporarily limited to drive-thru ordering, carry-out and delivery, with a select number of locations also offering curbside service.
