In the face of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we’re seeing people and organizations, like the Denver Dream Center, stepping up to spread kindness and hope to those in their community who may need it most.
Through a grant from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, part of the Foundation’s $1.25 million in emergency funding, the Denver Dream Center is helping to support 1,000 families in the Denver area with regular deliveries of “Hope Boxes.” These boxes include essentials like food, hygiene and cleaning products, educational supplies, children’s activities, and more, to help families in need during the crisis.
The Denver Dream Center provides a variety of community support services to the Denver community. During the COVID-19 crisis, the organization has stayed true to its mission of bringing hope to the community and has been working with Denver community officials to identify the areas of highest risk and the people with the greatest need.
“Our organization is based on hope, and that’s something our community really needs right now,” said Executive Director and Pastor of Denver Dream Center Pastor Bryan Sederwall. “Receiving the grant from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation is an example of how hope can manifest into positive action, even in the most difficult times.”
